Program Overview
At Enhance Your Chance (EYC) Title I Community Development Center Inc., our Youth Development Program is designed to empower, equip, and elevate youth through intentional, age-appropriate programming that builds leadership capacity, supports emotional growth, and provides access to new opportunities. Grounded in EYC’s mission to empower individuals and transform communities through evidence-based programs, our youth development approach actively works to address systemic barriers, foster community resilience, and build pathways to economic mobility.
Youth Development Programs
Through three targeted initiatives—Girl Talk Empowerment & Leadership Academy, GameChangers Male Youth Development & Leadership Program, and the Youth Leadership Development & Mentoring Initiative—EYC creates safe, supportive environments where youth ages 8–17 can build self-esteem, engage in positive relationships, and grow into confident, capable leaders. Youth in these programs, are encouraged to lead, dream, and act—becoming agents of change in their families, schools, and communities. This comprehensive approach reflects EYC’s vision to be a catalyst for measurable systemic change, helping eliminate opportunity gaps and ensuring every young person has a real chance to thrive.

Girl Talk: Empowerment Leadership Academy
Game Changers: Male Youth Development & Leadership Program
This initiative connects teens with trained mentors and leadership-building experiences to help them develop a strong sense of purpose, direction, and social responsibility. Youth engage in structured workshops, planning meetings, public speaking opportunities, and community service. The program emphasizes personal accountability, professional skills, and civic engagement.
(For Girls Ages 8–17)
Girl Talk creates a safe and affirming space for girls to build confidence, and grow as leaders. Participants engage in age-specific roundtable discussions on topics such as self-esteem, healthy friendships, goal-setting, peer pressure, and emotional wellness. Through interactive activities, games, and guided mentorship, girls gain the tools they need to navigate adolescence with courage, clarity, and character. Girl Talk celebrates each girl’s voice and potential, empowering them to lead with purpose and authenticity.
(For Boys Ages 8–17)
GameChangers is a dynamic program that supports the growth and leadership development of young men. It fosters brotherhood, confidence, and integrity through roundtable discussions, games, team challenges, and mentorship that address topics like respect, discipline, decision-making, emotional awareness, and goal-setting. Youth are encouraged to reflect on their choices, take ownership of their future, and step up as role models and leaders. GameChangers promotes a strong sense of identity, accountability, and community among young men navigating the path to adulthood.
